The suspect offered a ride
to a woman waiting for a bus ride in Anaheim. He drove her to a secluded area in Orange where he raped her. After raping
her, he began driving again while using his fingers to continue the sexual assault. She was able to escape by jumping from his
car and running away to call police. It wasn’t until five weeks later when detectives requested a sketch. The case went
cold for several years as the suspect continued his sexual attacks on other victims. In 1997, the suspect was arrested and convicted
for another sexual assault and was serving a 60-year prison sentence when Orange Police investigators ran a DNA sample from their
1995 case and received a match. New charges have since been filed and the suspect faces a possible life-time prison sentence.
