The suspect and several friends were involved in a dispute inside a crowded nightclub.  When security intervened a fight broke out between them and the suspect.  During the scuffle, the suspect broke free and tried to escape.  A security officer caught up to him and was shot in the stomach by the suspect when he tried to detain him.  The suspect escaped and was later arrested by detectives during their follow up investigation.
